  1. I feel your pain on this one- I've been dealing with the same thing for about 10 months, and it's been one of the most frustrating running injuries I've had since it's been so hard to shake. I've found the most effective treatment is acupuncture & Graston, and I sort of manage it with keep my runs low intensity and wearing CEP patellar straps. If you find anything that really seems to help please let me know! Good Luck! Erin McDougall

  2. Hi Erin,
I'm sorry to hear that you're going through the same thing. For me, it's been about 7 months. I have made some progress with LOTS of physio and strengthening, but it hasn't been a linear healing process. Lots of setbacks, and flare-ups, and just pain-in-the-ass behaviour. I feel for you too. I have tried a lot of different things (physio, ART, taping, anti-inflammation diet, acupuncture, massage, lower mileage). I have never had anything that is this hard to get rid of. For me there has been no magic formula - if I come across one, I'll let you know - then I'll market it and make all the moneys :) Best of luck with it, let me know if you come across some patellar tendinitis-healing magic out there!
